We service and repair all makes and models of reels, spinning, overhead, jigging electric and game reels. I have a comprehensive workshop and all repairs are done in house so we have a quick turnaround on repairs or servicing.

All reels are fully stripped, then cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner, all parts inspected for wear or corrosion and replaced or repaired where necessary, all bearings checked and if noisy or rough we replace them with quality bearings then lubed with the correct lubricants, e.g. Shimano grease, Cal’s 2 speed, Rocket fuel bearing oil, Quantum hot sauce oil, and I am the only service agent in the South Island with Daiwa Magseal oil, then reels are assembled and tested.
 
Upgrades and tuning of all reels including salmon distance casting reels, drag upgrades using carbontex drag washers, machining and polishing of drag assemblies, Hybrid ceramic bearings, ceramic pawls, t bar and spinner handle knobs, etc.

We also have a large range of parts for Penn reels made in the USA and Mitchell reels made in France, most of these parts are now obsolete so contact us as we may be able to help. We make our own bail springs for old or obsolete reels.
